Emma Winters is currently a journalism student at Colorado State University, Fort Collins. She is passionate about utilizing writing along with photography as a tool to spread awareness on topics that impact society. Emma was selected to be a representative for American Legion Auxiliary California Girls State, where she participated on their journalism team. She has interned with professional photographers, as well as non-profit organizations. One of her proudest moments was having the opportunity to work with National Geographic on a project in Brazil. She is currently on the Young Journalists of America team as a staff writer, as well as a photographer for College Avenue Magazine.
