Emma Winters is currently a journalism and environmental sociology student at Colorado State University, Fort Collins. She is passionate about utilizing writing along with photography as a tool to spread awareness on topics that impact society. Emma was selected to be a representative for American Legion Auxiliary California Girls State, where she participated on their journalism team. She has interned with professional photographers, as well as non-profit organizations. One of her proudest moments was having the opportunity to work with National Geographic on an advertising project in Brazil. She currently works with the non-profit Young Journalists of America on their executive team, as the lead writer of the Culture section. Emma is also the multimedia editor at College Avenue Magazine, as well as a writer and photographer.
